Westfalia Profiltechnik GmbH & Co KG in Hilchenbach, Germany, with revenues in excess of € 20 million produces roll-formed seat glides and seat parts for automobiles by employing its world-leading roll-forming process knowhow. Johnson Control which is increasingly applying components manufactured with this cold-forming technology in its newest generation of seat systems, acquired Westfalia to secure its supplies and take possession of the roll-forming know-how. Johnson Controls intends to expand the site in Hilchenbach to become the worldwide competence center of roll-forming.
