Vincent Hübner

Vincent Hübner holds a Dipl.-Kaufmann diploma in Economics (University of Kiel) and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He worked for Strategic Planning Associates (SPA), a renowned management consulting firm based in Washington DC, before establishing the corporate finance business of the Matuschka Group, a then large financial service company in Germany, in the mid 80s. In the early 90s Vincent Hübner founded his own corporate finance company in Munich forming the platform for today's Hübner Schlösser & Cie.

For all his professional life Vincent Hübner has done nothing but worked on company transactions, as M&A advisors as well as principal investor. He is member of the Advisory board of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group in Düsseldorf.

Joachim Schlösser

Joachim Schlösser holds a Dipl.-Kaufmann diploma in business administration (University of Cologne) and worked for Bertelsmann Corporation for several years before joining the Matuschka Group in the late 80s where he was General Manager of the buy-out business unit. In the early 90s Mr. Schlösser became General Manager and Partner of Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance GmbH in Frankfurt. In 1997, he co-founded Hübner Schlösser & Cie.

Mr. Schlösser has focused his entire professional career on company transactions, as M&A advisor as well as principal investor. He has been chairman of the Vereinigung Deutscher M&A Berater (VMA).

Jan Cotta studied business administration and holds a Diplom-Betriebswirt degree. Before joining Hübner Schlösser & Cie in 2016, he served for 6 years as a Partner at Mummert & Company Corporate Finance, Munich, where he was responsible for a number of high-profile M&A transactions, especially in the business services sector. From 2003 to 2010, Mr. Cotta worked as a Partner for Continental Capital Partners (CCP), London, in various capacities, including the setting-up and running of CCP’s Munich office. Before that, he was a Partner at Milestone Capital, London, a pan-European mid-market private equity firm. In the 1990ies, he held management positions in the corporate finance area at Schroders (now Citigroup) und BZW Barclays de Zoete Wedd (now Credit Suisse) in London and Frankfurt. Mr. Cotta started his career with the Matuschka Group in Munich.

Mr. Cotta has focused his entire professional career on company transactions and capital placements in Germany and internationally. He is exceptionally experienced in assessing and marketing a large variety of business models in differing and dynamic entrepreneurial environments.

Stefan Herborg (Cooperation Partner)

Mr. Herborg holds a Dipl. Kfm. degree from the University of Regensburg, Germany, and a MBA degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA. Prior to joining Hübner Schlösser & Cie in 2001, Mr. Herborg worked for about 9 years as a top level management consultant for UBM and Mercer Management Consulting (today Oliver Wyman) in Munich. Mr. Herborg became Partner in 2006. He advised many international market leading companies in a variety of industries including the old and new economy.

Since January 2016, Mr. Herborg works as an independent M&A advisor. He offers a service to owners of medium sized companies who are interested to get a market valuation of their company prior to a company sale or equity transaction. On a case by case basis Mr. Herborg supports Hübner Schlösser & Cie.
